the silver lining
It's cold and blowey outside. Yesterday was in the seventies and beauitful. Today reminds me that winter is coming and there is no way out of it.
I don't like winter. I don't like being cold and I don't like being stuck inside for months and months. Of course there are a few highlights that come with the winter season. This year especially I am excited for the Holidays. Of course because we know have superchunk to celebrate and for the silly and selfish reason that I will have 4 days off for both Thanksgiving and Christmas! I have been counting down to the days off since I returned to work . 4 days to sleep in and cuddle superchunk all the live long day.
Working has certainly taught me to cherish every minute I have with him. Working has gotten easier. Last Friday was probably one of the best days I have had back at work. The whole office dressed up and Wyatt stayed with Wade for the day. Having Wade watch him removes most of the guilt of being away so I didn't have the same gloomy attitude of missing my baby and the Halloween spirit was hard not to enjoy. It was nice to not worry about hurrying to pick the babe up and hoping he would sleep through the list of things to do before heading home. It was nice not to worry. I wish that feeling was around more. But I am glad that I get the reminder of how special my babe is, I can see how easy it could be to forget.
