I remember alot of random things from college. "It's more important to be respected than to be liked." I can still see my professor standing in front of our classroom as she taught us about managing employees.Never thought that I would have a problem with that-- I am naturally bossey ; ) Here I am today, managing a team of employees and struggling because everyone of them is my friend. But I have to put that aside, it's my job not to be a pushover. It's my job to make sure they are doing their job. That's the end of the story. I am not saying that they won't like me, just that I worry about it.
Boy I am glad it is the weekend.
